Awards Evening in County Durham

on Wed, 16/07/2014 - 12:59

Destination Judo has recently collected two awards in the area of County Durham.

On July 9th, at the Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre, DJ coach Glynn and four players from the Sedgefield and Spennymore areas attended this social event to put on a demonstration for the people which was also attended by many other sporting clubs.

Glynn would like to emphasise how well the girls did during the demonstration, being under spot lights infront of a large audience, and would like to thank Becky Butler, Mae Bostock, Kazia Simpson and Mia Tierney for helping deliver this amazing demo.

Glynn was awarded for Contribution to School Sports Delivery, and young Mae Bostock from Spennymore picked up a Young Sports Achiever Award for not only winning the BJC National Championships, but also coming second for her category in gymnastics and gaining selection for elite girls netball team.

A great evening and well done to Glynn and Mae for the continued excellence.
