Peru Challenge - Help Us Support 2 Great Causes (click for more info)

on Fri, 21/08/2015 - 09:36

As many people know, for the past 3 years Destination Judo has supported 2 very good causes - Sarah's Promise, and The Nicola Murray Foundation.

Sarah's Promise was set up in memory of Sarah Hardie who sadly died aged 9. Her parents decided that they would in honor of their daughter to help as many disadvantaged children in the world as possible - including building an orphanage in Tanzania, which was done with the help of the children and parents of Destination Judo.

The Nicola Murray Foundation was formed back in October 2010 to fund research projects which will lead to better detection, treatment, services and outcomes for young women with ovarian cancer.

So, in November 2015, a group of DJ coaches and dads - known as the Peru Peddlers - have decided (as the name suggests) to cycle the length of Peru!

Each member will fund the journey and trip themselves so that every single penny raised will be split evenly between the 2 causes. The money for Sarah's Promise will be used to start work on a second orphanage in Tanzania for another 30 children.
