It’s all about Callum!
In this section we have a short profile and some fun Q&As, followed by Callum’s weekly class schedule.
Starting at the age of 6, Callum has been active in judo for over 30 years. He has won major Championships both in Scotland and overseas.
At the age of 19 Callum threw himself into his coaching career taking up a coaching post in Hong Kong. Upon his return to Scotland, he became Destination Judo’s first employee and continues to help in the development of the company. As a pivotal member of the team Callum oversees the development of his players to national and black belt level and helps to provide mentorship to other team members.
Callum truly believes that judo can change children’s lives for the better.

What are a few of your Judo highlights?
Winning the Scottish Junior, Scottish Senior and Hong Kong Championships
Favourite sport outside judo?
I enjoy Rock climbing. No better feeling than being up the side of a rock wall.
I enjoy walking out in nature and reading mindset books.
I look to get into the gym 2-3 times a week.
Finlay’s Friends and Nicola Murray foundation. Both I’ve had the pleasure of raising funds for.
I have 3 children, that’s enough pets for me.
Hong Kong. I have lots of positive memories and friends from when I spent a year living there.
Achievements outside of Judo?
Toughest achievement outside of Judo is overcoming and keeping a high level of mental well-being.

The first session will always be free to give your child a taste of what is involved and to make sure they enjoy it. Parents are invited to stay and watch the trial sessions.
