Q & A Session with your coach:

What are a few of your Judo highlights?

My highlights from judo have comes as a coach. To watch a player go from a beginner to then build up to the level of competing at Cadet, European, Youth Commonwealth Games and Youth Olympics is a highlight for sure.

Favourite sport outside judo?

Football. Love sitting watching a great game in a pub with good friends around me.

Hobbies?

Going to the gym. I Like having that time where I don’t have to think about anything other than training hard.

Keeping Fit

Gym 5 times a week at 5am. Sets me up for the day ahead.

Favourite charity?

Nicola Murray Foundation – It a close charity to good friends of mine and the work that has been done over the years has been ground breaking for cervical cancer.

Pets?

Two Cats. Millie and Smudge.

Favourite country?

Italy – The people, the buildings, the food. What’s not to love about Italy!

Achievements outside of Judo?

Part of our charity work is that Destination Judo picks a major challenge each year. One year we headed of the Peru for a charity cycle along the Inca Trail. The hills where so steep and dogs trying to bite you while you struggle to breath the thin air was the hardest and best achievement I have ever done. The 2 day decline cycle down through the Amazon jungle did make up for the 5 day climb though.

Favourite Food and drink?

Chicken and sparkling water is my number one go to for food and drink. Unless on a night out its Guinness.

The first session will always be free to give your child a taste of what is involved and to make sure they enjoy it. Parents are invited to stay and watch the trial sessions. Please let us know of any concerns you may have. We have supported thousands of children into our Judo family over the years and feel confident we can support yours.
