Started judo in 1960 at the zo shi kan judoclub, trained in London at the renshudan judo club then came back and trained at clubs in Edinburgh,

I got into coaching at Meadow Bank Judo Club where I first met Marc Preston.  We, are still friends today, also joined the Scottish Judo coaching staff.

I moved to start my own club “Danderhall judo club” and it’s still going strong today.

The club has had many Scottish and British champions over the years.

I have been a support coach to Destination Judo for the last 15 years helping with squad sessions and working with the performance squad.
