Q & A Session with your coach:

What are a few of your Judo highlights?

I love the social aspect of judo, being involved with people from all walks of life and sharing the passion for the sport. My absolute highlight is now in coaching kids from day one on the mat and helping them develop their career in Judo.

Favourite sport outside judo?

Mountain biking – I enjoy being outside when not on the Judo mat weather on the saddle or exploring the local countryside.

Hobbies?

I really enjoy the outdoors. I enjoy spending time with my son out exploring our local area. I spent some time fishing as a child and would like to learn more, my goal for this year is to become more competent.

Keeping Fit

I try to attend at least one Judo class a week when not coaching. When coaching adult classes I get the opportunity to train with my Judoka. Outside of judo I ride my bike and take my dog (June) walks.

Favourite charity?

Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity- They support Sick Kids Edinburgh, have done a lot of work to support children and parents in need.

Pets?

I have a Black Cocker Spaniel named June. My family also have two horses that we like to visit, and when brave enough I have a little ride.

Favourite country?

Scotland – I have very rarely travelled abroad, I enjoy visiting new places around the country exploring what this country has to offer. I look forward to my holidays so I can explore.

Achievements outside of Judo?

No contest – My son, and trying to be the best Dad I can be.

Favourite Food and drink?

Has to be Pizza I could eat pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My favourite topping just now are chicken, mushroom and jalapenos.
