It’s all about Ruth!

In this section we have a short profile and some fun Q&As, followed by Ruth’s weekly class schedule.

I started Judo at age 11 after a taster session at my primary school. 

I loved it and quickly made squad and went on to train with the Talent Development Team.

I later decided to start coaching Judo, achieving my UKCC level 2 qualification.

What are a few of your Judo highlights?

Scottish medalist, British Schools medalist, travelling to Sweden to help coach Stockholm Judo Club.

Favourite sport outside judo?

I enjoy cycling, surfing, and running.

Hobbies?

Walking with my dog.

Keeping Fit

I go to the gym every day Monday to Friday with friends to help keep me motivated!

Favourite charity?

UNICEF

Pets?

A cocker spanial called Willow.

Favourite country?

Germany – a contry with a very interesting history.

Achievements outside of Judo?

 

Definitely achieving my Post Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary Education).

Favourite Food and drink?

Anything Mexican!

The first session will always be free to give your child a taste of what is involved and to make sure they enjoy it. Parents are invited to stay and watch the trial sessions.
